Maharashtra Health Minister, Rajesh Tope has tweeted that soon Liquor shops may open in this amid lock-down, only after strict regulations are prepared.

Tope, also mentioned that liquor should not be banned, as far as we are following the social distancing strictly to curb the COVID_19 spread.

Liquor is not categorized under essential goods as per the Epidemic diseases Act 1897 and Disaster Management Act 2005.

Liquor sale will help some of the people to stay at home in this lock-down, but also it will urge them to come out of their houses.
