As the lockdown has been extended for two more weeks, here is a good new for tipplers. Liquor body, Confederation of Indian Alcoholic Beverage Companies (CIABC) have petitioned State and a central government, to seek the permission of online sale, till the lockdown, with a condition that doorstep delivery would be allowed only in the areas that are out of Covid_19 reach.
The bulls of Liquor Market like Radico Khaitan, Diageo, Pernod Ricard, and many other companies have proposed, that order can be placed over a phone call or online, along with a valid ID proof and age verification before delivery.
To offer this service the retails will have to register through an online portal for which they will have to pay some additional charges.
Already in Meghalaya online services have been started a week ago and Kerala SC has refused to nod for online sale even on the ground of a medical prescription.
